“The TGOD rapper hasn’t stopped grinding…” – HotNewHipHop

“He’s proven that you can make money without selling out to a label, gaining more than 300,000 followers on Twitter and 67,000 downloads of his mixtape, Gangland 3.”Pittsburgh City Paper

The Announcement:

Ethika is proud to announce the release of the Chevy Woods Collection of men’s briefs.  The multi-piece collection is available now at retail.

“I’m excited to have a pair of briefs that I created along with Ethika because it’s just something that I felt strongly about doing outside of music. The first time I put on a pair I fell in love with them so to have my own is truly a blessing . As kid from Pittsburgh with a dream to branch out and do more, it doesn’t get better than this.” – Chevy Woods

The collection consists of three styles available in stores at Tillys, Foot Action, DTLR, and more.  Chevy’s signature designs are the latest in artist-driven projects from Ethika.

“We wanted to come up with a collection that would define Chevy,” said Danny Evans, Vice President of Marketing at Ethika.  “The relationship between Chevy and Ethika started with a genuine love of the product.  Chevy also is close friends with Ryan Sheckler and a few of our other athletes as well.  Everything has just developed organically and has been a lot of fun.  Tillys, Foot Action, and DTLR are also our ideal retail partners for a collection like this.”

“Chevy is one of the best artists for a company to work with. He gives incredible guidance and creations for the designs. Chevy also doesn’t think twice about helping to support his retail partners and go the extra mile to help  the retailers directly, “ added Sara Nemerov, Founder and CEO of Envy Branding (Chevy Wood’s Branding and Licensing agent).  There will be many in-store activations and exciting events Chevy is coordinating with his retail partners. Chevy Woods Background:

An experienced rapper with a tireless work ethic, Chevy Woods represents for Pittsburgh with every release. First gaining notoriety as an associate of Wiz Khalifa, Chevy has gained a devoted fanbase through a decade’s worth of mixtapes and a busy touring schedule. In 2015, Chevy released The 48 Hunnid Project, his first retail release via Taylor Gang Ent. Named after the block he was raised on in the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh, The 48 Hunnid Project is a legacy-defining EP that finds Woods taking listeners on a journey from the hard times and harsh realities that came in his early years leading into the lavish lifestyle that’s come more recently with world tours and fame. Chevy Woods followed up The 48 Hunnid Project, with a busy 2016, featuring numerous loose singles, freestyles over popular industry beats like Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up” and Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t,” and highlighted by February’s And the Story Goes…, a 4-part video EP that finds Pittsburgh rapper reflecting on his adolescence and contemplating career paths. Beyond music, Woods has recently been in the spotlight for his culinary skills, which have been featured by Edible Ink and First We Feast. Chevy also made headlines when he partnered with California-based clothing brand Ethika for a line of signature men’s briefs. Chevy Woods will make more noise this year with his upcoming full-length album, Taylor’d, which features singles such as “History,” ft. Devin Cruise, and “Bank of America,” featuring Rich The Kid, releases in the fall of 2016.
