Video: Chevy Woods ft. DeJ Loaf – “All Said And Done” (Prod. by Ricky P & Anthony M)

The Video:

Pittsburgh native Chevy Woods is joined by Detroit’s DeJ Loaf in “All Said And Done,” the lead single from Woods’ forthcoming The 48 Hunnid Project EP, which releases on August 7th. Premiered by i-D, the powerful visual directed by Wiley follows the storyline of the song, with the Taylor Gang rapper reflecting on a relationship between he and a friend, dissecting the ways in which their lives went in different directions.

“The song is my life in 3 minutes — they’re stories I’ve been waiting to tell and now I’ve got a platform to speak from,” Woods told Billboard in their premiere of the track. “The visual reflects exactly how the song goes from start to finish so to me it’s kind of easy to understand especially with the title being ‘All Said And Done,'” he explained to i-D. “It’s basically how I feel until it’s my time to leave Earth as we know it. The scenes in the video on the block, at the graveyard, and in a prison, these are the things I grew up around and these places represent my life. I wanted to incorporate the actual scenes that are similar to what I grew up around.”

Chevy Woods is stepping into a brighter spotlight with The 48 Hunnid Project, which features guest vocals from OG Maco, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, and Rico Love. “This is, like, a couple of years in the making for this project,” Chevy told HipHopDX in a news announcement. “It took me a while to get the songs that I wanted, to record how I wanted, to get the right features, get the right production. It took me this long just to get everything that I wanted in place. I didn’t wanna give nobody, like, a mixtape-sounding project. I wanted to get out something that was a little bigger.”

Chevy Woods is currently performing as a special guest on the Boys of Zummer Tour with Wiz Khalifa, Hoodie Allen, and Fall Out Boys, which you can view dates for here.

Chevy Woods Background:

Chevy Woods has been building up momentum with his mixtapes Red Cup Music, The Cook Out, and the Gangland series, progressing his sound with each release. After years of writing and recording in his home studio, Chevy traded in his keyboard for cash to pay for studio time. In 2004, while recording at Pittsburgh’s I.D. Labs Studios, Chevy encountered Wiz Khalifa and the two instantly formed a bond. “Me and Wiz, we always had each other’s backs. Since we were both recording at I.D. Labs at the same time, we would hold each other down,” Chevy has explained. “Even if it was just picking up Wendy’s for the other one on our way to the studio.”
