Chevy Woods – “All Said And Done” ft. DeJ Loaf (Video Trailer)

The Taylor Gang Rapper Teams Up With the Detroit Hooksmith For “All Said And Done,” Share Video Trailer

The Video:

This Thursday, Chevy Woods and DeJ Loaf will be releasing a video for “All Said And Done,” the lead single from Chevy’s forthcoming The 48 Hunnid ProjectEarlier this month, the Taylor Gang rapper released the Ricky P-produced track via Billboard, who said Woods “strives to keep things true to the streets he grew up on.” Directed by Wiley, the video finds Chevy reflecting on a relationship between he and a friend, dissecting the ways in which their lives went in different directions. Joined by DeJ, scenes at a graveyard and inside a prison depict the presumption of death and jail being a common outcome for people raised in areas such as Hazelwood, the impoverished community of Pittsburgh where Chevy grew up.

Chevy Woods’ forthcoming The 48 Hunnid Project EP serves as the Taylor Gang representative’s first commercial product, releasing on August 7th. The project features DeJ Loaf in addition to guest vocals from OG Maco, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, and Rico Love. “This is, like, a couple of years in the making for this project,” Chevy told HipHopDX in a news announcement. “It took me a while to get the songs that I wanted, to record how I wanted, to get the right features, get the right production. It took me this long just to get everything that I wanted in place. I didn’t wanna give nobody, like, a mixtape-sounding project. I wanted to get out something that was a little bigger.”

Chevy Woods is currently performing as a special guest on Wiz Khalifa’s Boys of the Zummer Tour, which you can view dates for here.

Chevy Woods Background:

Chevy Woods has been building up momentum with his mixtapes Red Cup Music, The Cook Out, and the Gangland series, progressing his sound with each release. After years of writing and recording in his home studio, Chevy traded in his keyboard for cash to pay for studio time. In 2004, while recording at Pittsburgh’s I.D. Labs Studios, Chevy encountered Wiz Khalifa and the two instantly formed a bond. “Me and Wiz, we always had each other’s backs. Since we were both recording at I.D. Labs at the same time, we would hold each other down,” Chevy has explained. “Even if it was just picking up Wendy’s for the other one on our way to the studio.”
