The Song:

Southwest PA native and Moola Gang Ca$h Cow$ producer/rapper Kilz shows his versatility by stepping out from behind the production tables and into the booth with “Have Some Fun,” the first single from his forthcoming debut mixtape, Krak Kilz. Premiered by HipHopDX with an interview, the track features Mac Miller‘s REMember Music labelmates The Come Up and carries a gritty, nostalgic bounce accompanied by enticing party-like lyrics. With the lyrics, “good weed, that’s all we really need/ a couple of girls and we gon’ have some fun,” the song is the perfect soundtrack to a night full of good vibes with friends and floosies.

“The beat for ‘Have Some Fun’ was simple, really the drums is what started it all,” explains Kilz in his interview with HipHopDX. “I put a lil’ twist on the sample. I call it reverse psychology.” As for what people should expect from his mixtape, he adds “I’ve been promoting this project for years now, but I’ve always been behind the scenes. I know people who enjoy my songs, but my main focus was producing. So if I make a song, I really was in the zone and it was a special moment. I’m excited for the people to hear the versatility, from smooth tracks to boom bap, from club to trap shit.”

Earlier this month, fellow Moola Gang artist Luke-O released a pop culture-meets-Mafioso styled mixtape, Lacoste Bo$$, via AllHipHop. Keeping the Ca$h Cow$ in forward progression, Kilz is carving out his lane amongst producers all while proving he’s a noteworthy threat in the booth. The Fayette County, PA collective, which also includes rapper Pyrex Pre$$, shows no signs of slowing up anytime soon.
