Project: wifisfuneral & Robb Bank$ – Conn3ct3d

The South Florida Stars and Tourmates Swap Punchlines Over Dark and Distorted Instrumentals in Their First Ever Joint Project

Critical Praise:

XXL Freshman, Class of 2018

“[wifisfuneral] displays an impressive array of verbal acrobatics, showing off masterful breath control and a rapid fire flow.”  – Pitchfork

“He’s synthesized the regionless, borderless world of the internet age from which he takes his name, while lacing it with a narcotically addictive flow and a distinct ear for melody that’s allowed him to develop while others stagnate.” – NOISEY

“The young rapper has a wide range of skills, from agile raps and bass-heavy tracks to dark and moody slow-burners, and his unpredictability is part of his appeal” – Pigeons & Planes

“Wifisfuneral is becoming a hotter and hotter commodity in the rap world these days, and he’s making sure to prove his skillset as a lyricist in the game.” – XXL

The Mixtape:

Two pioneers of South Florida’s dark trap renaissance, wifisfuneral and Robb Bank$ are longtime friends and collaborators. Joining forces for their first collaborative project, wifi and Robb share Conn3ct3d, an 11-track set of sinister slappers. Delivering flex-heavy verses over murky and head-knocking production, Robb and wifi display electric chemistry on the new tape, as Robb’s booming basso bounces nicely off wifi’s double-time slick talk. Departing from the dark subject matter that defines their solo projects, the two emcees enjoy each others’ company on Conn3ct3dcompetitively stacking syllables in a contest over who can stunt the hardest. Featuring production from the likes of Cris Dinero and others, and boasting highlight tracks like recent single Can’t Feel My Face,” the filthy synth slinker “Carro, and the expansive piano-led epic “Nauseous, Conn3ct3d arrives via EMPIRE / Alamo.

Taking their new material on the road, wifi and Robb Bank$ prepare for the upcoming “Conn3ct3d Tour.” Kicking off on January 17th in Colorado Springs, the tour spans 28 dates and 20 states before finishing its run with a home show in Miami on February 23rd. The “Conn3ct3d Tour” will stop in New York on February 15th at Highline Ballroom in and Los Angeles on January 27th at Warehouse 1720.
